Integrated DPF+DOC+SCR Aftertreatment Systems for Generator Sets in the Middle East Petrochemical Industry

Integrated DPF+DOC+SCR Aftertreatment Systems for Generator Sets in the Middle East Petrochemical Industry

2026-03-25

1. Market Background

As the heart of the global petrochemical industry, the Middle East hosts a vast number of Generator Sets to support drilling and refining processes. With tightening regional regulations for Industrial Exhaust Gas Treatment, local enterprises face the critical challenge of simultaneously reducing Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Particulate Matter (PM) under harsh conditions of high ambient temperatures and high sulfur loads.

2. Customer & Application Scenario

The client in this case is a large-scale Petrochemical Industry enterprise located in the Middle East. Their high-power diesel generator sets produced visible black smoke and high concentrations of NOx during operation. Given the desert environment, the client required a highly reliable integrated system featuring DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst), and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst), complete with precise injection and control logic.

3. Our Solution

We designed a modular integrated aftertreatment system for this project, covering the entire technical process from catalytic reaction to electronic control.

Key Technical Parameters:

  • System Composition: Includes DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) , DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) , and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst).

  • Control System: Features a fully automated urea injection and closed-loop control system to ensure reductant dosing fluctuates precisely with engine load, preventing ammonia slip.

  • High-Performance Substrates: Utilizes catalyst substrates with superior thermal stability, adapting to extreme Middle Eastern temperatures and ensuring long-term consistency in Mobile Source Exhaust Treatment.

  • Purification Efficiency: Achieves high conversion of CO, HC, and NOx through DOC pre-treatment and deep SCR denitrification.

4. Customer Feedback & Summary

Feedback indicates that following installation, visible black smoke was completely eliminated, and NOx emission levels remained well within local environmental compliance standards. The injection precision of the control system remained stable even under high-temperature operations, significantly reducing O&M costs.

Summary: By delivering a complete solution integrating DPF+DOC+SCR and intelligent control systems, we successfully resolved emission issues for generator sets in the Middle Eastern Petrochemical Industry. This project demonstrates our technical adaptability in complex Chemical Engineering environments and reinforces our professional standing in the global premium industrial DeNOx market.
